Residential Renovation & Interior Design
This renovation of a 25-year-old, three-storey residence was a sensitive transformation, respecting the original structure while introducing our warm, earthy design language.. The facade was redesigned with exposed brick, concrete-finish plaster, green accents, and touches of matte black details that bring depth and modern contrast. Inside, we reworked the ground floor to create a more connected social core. The old kitchen became the dining area, the living room expanded, and original Burma teak cabinets were preserved and repolished. A prayer unit was discreetly designed to harmonise with its surroundings, fulfilling spiritual needs without drawing undue attention. Meanwhile, the old bedroom was redesigned as a new kitchen, and the bathroom as a powder room. The first floor retained its layout but was updated with calm, contemporary interiors for bedrooms, a family lounge, and attached bathrooms, blending Indian-inspired details with a clean, contemporary aesthetic. On the second floor, functions were reassigned to suit our clients’ evolving lifestyle, including a new master suite, walk-in closet and lounge. Across all levels, the design refined the existing spatial layout while celebrating the strength of old materials, and layering textures and tones that reflect both continuity and evolution.
