This interior renovation reinterprets a three-bedroom apartment while retaining the original flooring and most internal walls. We focused on transforming the home through changes in furniture layouts and the colour palette, using subtle earthy tones and natural textures. A deeply personal touch came from designing one bedroom around our client’s vintage solid teak bed inherited from their parents. To complete the setting, we sourced matching furniture from a vintage auction house, allowing the space to carry forward the spirit of the past. We introduced a more contemporary feel in the other spaces of the apartment through lighting, accessories, and decor from Indian homegrown brands. A highlight of the renovation was a bespoke cove light detail, crafted with warm wood finish to evoke the look of a vintage cornice without adding a false ceiling, preserving the room’s proportions while adding softness and depth. The result is a home where memory and modernity coexist.
