BARI
Residential Interior Design
With this project, we set out to design the interiors of a two-bedroom apartment that feels like a home away from home for a young couple eager to create something unique. They wanted to move away from the mass-produced and embrace a more mindful, story-rich way of living where comfort, nostalgia, and sustainability guided every choice. Our design journey began with a clear goal of creating a warm, cosy, vintage-inspired space that celebrates the stories embedded in old furniture and decor. Instead of buying new pieces or engineered wood, we spent months selecting solid-wood pieces from second-hand stores and vintage markets, prioritising durability, craftsmanship, and the memories each piece carries forward. This deliberate process was cost-effective and followed the principles of sustainability and circular economy. Earthy tones, warm wood textures, embroidered fabrics, and green accents brought the charm of 1800s and early 1900s homes, offering a gentle reminder of a slower, more intentional way of life while remaining relevant today. Every element added a fresh layer of meaning to the couple’s new life together. Bari is ultimately a celebration of second chances, where forgotten treasures find new purpose and old-world character meets modern sustainability to make a house feel truly like home.
