ASHIANA

This renovation of a 25 year old, three storey, four bedroom villa was a thoughtful exercise in sensitive transformation, respecting the original structure while introducing our warm, earthy design language rooted in craftsmanship and clarity.

The facade was redesigned with a timeless palette of exposed brick, concrete finish plaster, and lush green accents, now anchored by touches of matte black detailing that brings depth and contemporary contrast. The combination of organic texture and bold minimalism creates a refreshed identity that still feels grounded in place.

On the ground floor, we introduced key spatial changes to improve flow and functionality. The former kitchen was converted into a dining area, allowing the living space to expand naturally into it, fostering a more connected social core. The original Burma teak cabinets were preserved and repainted to align with the light, neutral palette, honouring their craftsmanship while integrating them into the refreshed interiors. A prayer unit was discreetly designed to harmonise with its surroundings, fulfilling spiritual needs without drawing undue attention. Meanwhile, the old bedroom was redesigned as a new kitchen, and the bathroom repurposed as a powder room.
